Closing St. Cloud ReStore was a decision that was not taken lightly. ReStore was set up to be a fundraiser for Habitat to build houses but it did not yield the return-on-investment we hoped it would to propel Central Minnesota Habitat for Humanity’s mission as a non-profit organization.
We understand there is a lot of sadness around this decision and that many people have great memories around ReStore. We appreciate and are grateful for ReStore’s staff, volunteers, donors and community partners who contributed their time, talents and treasure to ReStore.
As this door closes, we look forward to a lot of great things going on at Habitat and the 4 families who will be moving into new Habitat homes this winter, bringing us closer to helping 100 families purchase safe, secure homes in Central Minnesota. Central Minnesota Habitat for Humanity will continue to focus on its mission and do what we do best – gather communities to transform lives through affordable homeownership.
